FUTUREBIRDS
“Scrawny” was a name that Jesse Dill was called growing up. Instead of giving it power, he embraced the nickname, made it his own, and used it to form a theme around his music. Focusing on mental health, self-care, and finding worth within, Fill writes lyrics that feel real and relevant. His songs act as an outlet for emotions, and are meant to extend a connection - a helping hand - to anyone who finds meaning in them.
His adventure as Scrawny began as an excitement and energy around creating fresh pop music. Largely influenced by the music of The Beach Boys, The Beatles, Coldplay, Twenty Øne Pilots and AJR, Scrawny tracks remain inherently pop, while incorporating aspects of folk, alternative rock, hip-hop and electronic music - all of which are on full display in “Six Legs.”
